Pre-Professional Actor Training

Pre-Professional actor training (Ages 13 – 18), Mondays - 4-5:30 pm
An acting class for students who are interested in developing their skills. This class will use Viewpoints acting technique and improvisation as the foundation to explore monologues and scenes. Throughout the semester we will work on selections from William Shakespeare to Paula Vogel and have fun building characters, developing creativity and enhancing quick thinking. Memorization will be required. This will be a phone-free class. BFA audition preparation available.

Fundamentals of Acting

Ages: 7 - 12
Fundamentals of Acting (Ages -7-12), Wednesdays - 4-5:30 pm Through May 7
An introductory acting and improv class designed to go over the fundamental building blocks of acting on stage for students ages 7-12. This class is great for students who may need help coming out of their shell and students in need of focusing large amounts of energy. Based in Viewpoints technique, students will play a variety of games, explore working with and without text, and most importantly learn to work together, listen and have fun! The semester will end with games and scenes demonstrating both long form and short form improv. Elementary reading is required. This will be a phone-free class.
This class has a minimum requirement of 5 full-time students to run.
